Regular Savings

Regular Savings is an FDIC-protected account where you can save and also earn interest on your balances. You have access to your money through Online and Mobile Banking or from an ATM in case you need it in a pinch.

  • No minimum balance to maintain on active accounts

Insured Money Market

You don’t have to tie up your money in order to earn a great rate! An Insured Money Market account allows you to earn a great rate under FDIC protection. Plus, you are able to manage this and your other River Cities accounts whenever you want with Online Banking or Mobile Banking.

  • $100 minimum deposit to open
  • Maintain easy access to your money
  • $10,000 minimum balance to earn a higher rate
  • $5 monthly service charge when $10,000 minimum balance is not maintained

Health Savings Accounts

Get ahead of medical bills! A health savings account, or HSA, can help you save specifically for healthcare expenses while also providing you with tax benefits*. We can issue you a debit card for easy access to your account when it comes to paying those bills, and the money rolls over from year to year!

HSA Eligibility

There are requirements that must be met in order for you to be eligible for an HSA from River Cities Bank:

  1. You must be covered under a qualified, high deductible health plan
  2. You cannot be covered by another health plan that is not a high deductible health plan
  3. You cannot be claimed as a dependent on another person’s tax return
  4. You cannot be enrolled in Medicare

There are also contribution limits for HSA's that are set by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) every year:

  • 2017 single person contribution limit: $3,400
  • 2017 family contribution limit: $6,750
  • 2017 “catch-up” contribution limit for those age 55 or older: $1,000

*Direct deposit from your paycheck will reduce your taxable earnings. Consult a tax advisor.

**Withdrawals for non-qualified medical expenses are subject to income tax and a 20% penalty. The 20% penalty is waived for persons 65 and over or who have become disabled.
