Debit Card and ATM Transaction Changes
Effective August 15th, 2010

This notice informs you of changes we will be making
to our Overdraft Defender program that may affect
you if you have an ATM or debit card, or apply for
one in the future.
Currently, when you use your ATM or debit card, you
have enjoyed the benefit of being allowed to
overdraw your account to take care of an emergency,
cover a purchase when you have made a mathematical
error in your checkbook, or to withdraw extra funds
when you need them most. Due to new federal
regulations that are effective August 15, 2010,
unless we have your prior consent, River Cities Bank
will no longer authorize and pay ATM or one-time
debit card transactions that would cause your
account to become overdrawn. If you would like River
Cities Bank to continue authorizing and paying ATM
and debit card transactions that would result in an
overdraft, please opt-in by contacting us through
one of the methods listed below.
To opt-in, please contact us through one of these

find a “What You Need to Know about Overdrafts and
Overdraft Fees” information
sheet. Please review these materials and determine
if opting-in to overdraft coverage through your
ATM or debit card is right for you. If we do not
hear from you, you will automatically be opted-out.
Please keep in mind that you will continue to
receive Overdraft Defender coverage for your
checks written, withdrawals made at a teller window,
and ACH debit transactions (automatic
payments).
